Colmar, a small town in southern Alsace, has a historic center worthy of a fairy tale, thanks to its many colorful half-timbered houses. Colmar is also a city for art lovers, with many museums, notably the Unterlinden museum, one of the most important art galleries in France.
During this two-hour tour, you will discover the major sights of Colmar and their history.
We will walk through the cobbled streets of Little Venice to admire its wonderful colored houses, and I will explain the origin of this type of construction and its colors. We will go to the old town to discover other treasures of the local heritage, such as the Old Customs House, its wonderful Renaissance houses or the Saint-Martin Collegiate Church, nicknamed "cathedral" by the people of Colmar, we will see why. Our walk will end at the Unterlinden museum, one of the largest museums in the country.
